What does the name Cambridge mean?
Cambridge was founded in 1994, by our CEO Kim Harokopus who at the time was a U.S. Defense Department national security fellow for the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Because of her love for the city of Cambridge, Kim decided to name our company “Cambridge Communications, Inc.” However, in 2010 we changed our name to “Cambridge International Systems, Inc.” to reflect our expansion of solution offerings to more than just communications services and to represent our extensive experience in international markets.
